The story of Helenis Biocosmetics is the story of Elena Jiménez Harrane, its creator, a woman who has made nature, science and skin care her life's purpose.
Since she was a little girl, Elena had an innate curiosity for cosmetics. He watched his mother and aunt apply their creams and imitated them. Those small everyday gestures awakened in her an early passion for cosmetics, which would later join her other great vocation: biology, a science in which she graduated years later at the University of Malaga.
His first contact with the cosmetics industry allowed him to get to know it from the inside and made him ask himself a question that would be key to its history: why not harness the full power of nature to create cosmetics? That concern became the seed of a dream: to create her own natural cosmetics. To do so, he trained in organic formulation at the prestigious British school Formula Botanica. However, it would be a personal experience that would finally push her to dedicate herself fully to her project.
Re-connecting Nature®
Her second child developed a series of skin diseases at birth. Elena tried all kinds of conventional treatments, but none achieved any real improvement. As a mother and as a biologist, she felt the need to find a solution based on her own research. It was then, on one of her business trips, that she discovered Re-Connecting Nature, an innovative biotechnological active ingredient capable of strengthening the skin's natural defenses and restoring its balance. This discovery was a turning point in his project. This was the moment when he decided to add biotechnology to natural cosmetics to formulate advanced, effective and skin-friendly products with a clear objective: to balance the skin microbiome.
This is how Helenis Biocosmetics was born, a brand that represents the union between nature and science, formulated with biotechnological actives and natural ingredients with proven efficacy and supported by scientific studies. Elena tested her formulas on her son and on family and friends, and the results were surprising. That effectiveness, along with her passion for research, led her to continue researching and formulating until her dream became a reality.
